I have had lots of requests recently to put together a list of Pumpkin Patches around Ireland that will be operating in 2022. I have done a lot of research to bring you an extensive list, and I really hope it helps you to plan a memorable family day out with the kids this Halloween.

Munster

The Farm Grenagh, Ballymorisheen, Cork

Curraghchase Pumpkin Patch, Kilcornan, Limerick

Tickets are now on sale for this years Pumpkin Patch at Curraghchase Garden Centre.

• Pumpkins start from €5 and you can choose from lots of different varieties
• Design and carve your pumpkin using utensils provided (extra carving kits also available to purchase from shop)
• Master Carvers are on hand if you need a bit of advice to carve your perfect pumpkin
• Visit our storytelling tent and meet Spookly the square pumpkin and his friends
• Venture through Curraghchase House Spooky tunnel if you dare !!!!
• Have your group picture taken in the Halloween Globe, photos and frame are €10 additional photos are €5 each
• Parking is at Curraghchase Garden Centre V94 Y018, parking is included in the ticket price
• No Dogs allowed on the pumpkin patch, only service dogs will be permitted,
• Ticket sales are final and are only valid for the time and date on the ticket, there are no refunds or exchanges, please double check your times and dates before booking

Joe’s Farm Pumpkin Picking, Killeagh, Cork

Tickets are now on sale for the pumpkin picking experience on Joe’s Farm.

You can enjoy a walk around the farm and have some fun picking vegetables, learning a little about farming and picking your very own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch to take home.

Tickets

Picker – €22.00: Picker is a child or adult who collects vegetables around the farm and gets a pumpkin at the end.

Non-Picker – €7.50: Non-pickers visit the farm but do not partake in vegetable picking or receive a pumpkin.

Waterford Suir Valley Railway, Waterford

Halloween at Waterford Suir Valley Railway is scarily good family fun!

Book a private compartment for your family to enjoy a forty minute trip on narrow gauge railway, boarding at Kilmeadan Station, through the countryside and along the banks of the River Suir as far as Carriganore. Watch out for the spooky scenes at Kilmeadan Station and along the route.  The train will then return to Kilmeadan Station travelling at 15km per hour. Wrap up well as it can be chilly in the outdoor carriages. There are indoor carriages available also. Refreshments are available in the Whistlestop Café at Kilmeadan Station. Adult €10.00

Bunratty Castle & Folk Park, Clare

This Halloween midterm Bunratty Castle & Folk Park is returning to its Irish pagan roots and will mark the festival of Samhain in our own unique way. Focusing on the old Irish traditions associated with this time of year, visitors are invited to come and experience a traditional Irish Samhain (or Halloween) from Saturday October 29th to Wednesday November 2nd with a few twists from time traveling characters specially arrived to add the haunting!

Child ticket €11.50, adult ticket €16.95. They also have family passes available.

Leahy’s Open Farm, Cork

Leahys open farm will host Boo this Halloween for you and your family to enjoy. This will be an outdoor event this year.
Take a trip on the haunted hay ride through the woods.

Find your way to the witch’s lair and help our little old witch make a magic spell by gathering the special ingredients. 

Please note entry to farm is included in your Boo ticket.

Pick your own pumpkin and carve silly faces for €5 per pumpkin.

You can also make your own spooky lollipop for €6.50 per lollipop.

Please note Buggy’s will not be able to go on the haunted hay ride.

Please dress up for the experience (adults too).
Wear warm clothes underneath your costume if weather is cold as this is an outdoor event.
The ‘Boo’ Experience will take place on Saturday 22nd to 31st October from 10.20am to 4.20pm.

Calling all witches and wizards, young and old!! Gather around and join us at Sandy Feet Farm School of Witchery and Wizardry!! to learn the tricks of the trade from Wassily the master Wizard!..But first you’ll have to earn your Magisters learners Permit…Will you be brave enough??

There will be pumpkin carving at our event. This is an optional extra. To avoid disappointmr, we recommend this is booked at the same time as your tickets.

This is a FRIGHT FREE FAMILY FRIENDLY event!! Suitable for all ages! All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all adults must be accompanied by a child to attend!! Our friendly Halloween characters will keep you entertained with an interactive story, singing and dancing and more! There will be a limited number of animals on the farm, the playground and sensory garden will also be open.

Costumes are encouraged but absolutely not necessary. Our Café will be open with Halloween themed sweet treats and drinks.

**All activities are included with admission, with exception of the pumpkin carving, which has an additional per person fee. Pumpkins should be booked at the same time as your tickets to avoid disappointment on the day.

Children UNDER 2 years are free, and do not need a ticket. Children 2 years and over will need a ticket. All details can be found here.

Grab a wheelbarrow and roam through our wonderful Pumpkin Patch and pick your perfect pumpkin (pumpkins priced depending on size & colour)

There will be refreshments available to purchase onsite. There are also picnic areas so families can bring their own picnics to enjoy.

Make pumpkin picking a family tradition. Enjoy the outdoors and take advantage of all the photo opportunities onsite.

“Carve” out some time this Halloween to enjoy a Gruffalo tale with a twist!

Halloween tours are available Saturday 23rd October to Sunday 31st October, where you’ll hear the story of The Gruffalo before heading outdoors for a guided walk through the forest (where you’ll see some beloved Gruffalo characters along the way!) and stopping by Colin Glen’s very own pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin to carve and take home!

This year marks the 4th annual Halloween event at Let’s Go Hydro when we transform our famous water sports resort into a Halloween party for kids and adults alike. We close the water off and a giant display of inflatable pumpkins, witches, ghosts, and goblins takeover! 

We transform our usual camping grounds into a massive Pumpkin Patch stocked with 1,000s & 1,000s of farm grown pumpkins. Get your photograph on a tractor, trailer & more! This Halloween season, The Jungle has conjured up some delightfully frightful ideas and we welcome you all back to our popular ‘HALLOWEE’UNS‘ event, which is specifically for young kids and their families. Why should adults have all the fun after all?

As the spooky and haunting time of year creeps in, we would like to invite all of your little monsters along to experience a Halloween extravaganza, filled with wicked, weird and wonderful activities. During the event they will enjoy some pumpkin picking and carving, a haunting Haycart Ride with a rather wicked witch who will tell spooky stories along the way and a host of other adventure activities. We will also be giving out prizes for the best costumes, so all types of ghostly and fang-tastic costumes are encouraged.

The spooktacular event will run on Saturday 22nd October & Sunday 23rd October, then Friday 28th October right through to Tuesday 1st November.

Corderry Fruit Farm, Louth

The guys over at Corderry Fruit Farm are excited about welcoming you to their first pick your own pumpkin season.

This year will be our first pick your own pumpkin event. We are looking forward to welcoming you to our farm for some Autumn family fun. Our coffee trailer and farm shop will be open and The Pony Party Company will be with us for pony rides each weekend. Follow us on our social media pages for updates and information on activities. 

We are operating  2 hour time slots for this event 10-12pm, 1-3pm and 3-5pm.  Please  ensure that you purchase a ticket for everyone in your group with the exception of 2 year olds and under who are free. Tickets are non-refundable so please check your date and time carefully.

this year we are bigger and better than ever with fancy birds fancy sheep fancy pumpkins and some bunnies and you can’t forget all the babies (rabbits,chicks,ducklings,Guineas,maybe even turkeys) that will be available for purchase on the day

how the pumpkin patch will work this year is there will be 20 minute slots with a couple cars per slot

Each slot is

€20 per car with your ticket you will get

1 pumpkin but you can also buy extra on the day

a couple treats and a drink for the kids

Cup of tea or coffee and biscuits for the parents

there will be guided tours at certain times so you can book tickets for these times or the slots before and you may stay having a look around until the tour begins (timetables can be seen on all social media )(tours will start on the time or just after)

And you get to pick your own pumpkins on the day
